I've been stuck on Rammstein constantly for the past oh 8 years (drives Mark nuts!)

The other day I discovered a song on the new Placebo album that I am completely in love with and will play it constantly over the next few hours.

Got a korn cd from 2005 that I just opened as well.

I dig all kinds of music.  I've been on the local music station, because I can never remember the names of the folks they're playing to go out and buy the CD.  But I like ambient electronica, "surf" music, Celtic stuff.  I'm also a fan of movie scores and classic rock.  And classical.  I loathe modern country music and emo wankerboy wailings.

Addicted to?  Right now I'm listening to Queen's "Somebody to Love" over and over, if that counts.

Other than that its the Offspring and Greenday that I listen to most.

If Amazon ever get around to delivering it, will probably be listening to the new Muse album.

It's quite good, better than the one previous to it. I think you can listen some of it via that link.

Jen and I went to see them with Alice and Michael a few weeks ago and they were brilliant.

They played Leeds, but I was loathe to go see them when I prefer the first few albums above all the rest of their stuff.

They played a very good mix, obviously a bit off this new album, but also stuff off Babyteeth and Sceamager. And they're back as a three piece.

If anybody has some recommendations, I'd be much obliged.

I might be the only one who likes Infernal Love - the one with the fake moustaches on it?

Yep, no cello. I think it came down to the fact they couldn't afford to have 4 members in the band anymore.

I love Infernal Love, it has great tracks on it. The band don't particulary like it though, although we got a full on version of Diane and Stories at the gig.

The Cello was always my favourite bit from Screamager on.

I only ever really liked the Troublegum-era stuff.


I liked Diane at the time but can't listen to it now.

Infernal is the album of theirs I replay the most.  I just really like strings and Guitars.

Yep, guitars are hard to play without strings.

The ones I mentioned.  And, in addition to Celtic stuff and "surf" music, I'm looking for some decent Hebrew music.

Can't really help with the Celtic I'm afraid, or the surf music.
For hebrew, you could try Dhafer Youssef. It's not traditional hebrew mind you it's a fusion of nu-jazz and classic sufi.

As far as ambient goes, Boom Bip is a good bet for something ambient with a twist. Possibly Sasuma Yakota if you don't have any of his stuff. There's something lese on the tip of my tongue too, but it's not coming without my cd shelves in front of me.

Right now, outside of the hip hop hits I listen to at work (not by choice) I have been listening to a lot of Johnny Cash classics. I just bought all of the American Recordings albums today, recieved the V For Vendeta EP by David J and Robbie Williams' Intensive Care have been played as of late. I am fascinatedby Matisyahu as well. Why? Becuase Hip Hop has hurt my brain. >:(

I quite like Placebo, but I sometimes feel that I am too old to be listening to them.

  A bunch of spoken word/radio drama at the moment along with a couple of mix CDs.  Standout tracks however include The Barry Williams Show by Peter Gabriel and The Ramones' version of the Spiderman theme.

Just got notice of the new Killers album in Oct so cannot wait for that.

I have a Kim Deal fixation at the minute: Pixies, Breeders, Amps. Her voice and bass-playing take me to a better place.

I saw her at a Pixies show last summer and she was dressed like a librarian mother of three. But I don't care - she still floats my boat!

I cannot STAND hip-hop or rap.  So why can't I stop listening to Jay Z's "Numb"?

I loathe Mc.Donalds, but I still yearn for Big Macs. Maybe it's the additives. Is Jay-Z MSG-Free?

The new Snow Patrol album.  Not really been a fan before but loving this.  Sounds very Idlewildeseque.
