Title: Games Post by: Sabrina Peyton on August 10, 2006, 03:11:55 AM What's everyone playing?
On the psp I've been hooked on Medievil though I can't get past level one. And the new Pirates of the Caribbean game. Watched folks play Cadwallon last night - they were speaking french which I found very funny. (Cadwallon, Rachams rpg game I think...) Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on August 10, 2006, 03:30:16 AM I have less and less time to play games these days it seems, but when I can:
Guitar Hero on PS2 Lumines on PSP Title: Re: Games Post by: Sabrina Peyton on August 10, 2006, 03:46:10 AM Lumines is fun though I miss regular tetris.
I'm dying to own a ds light just for Super Mario bros. Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on August 10, 2006, 04:12:56 AM Yes, I may have to get a ds lite at some point. Possibly whilst in Australia.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Youri Zoutman on August 10, 2006, 02:03:16 PM I haven't played games for three weeks becuase I'm on holiday in New York. Leaving now though... :D
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Hall on August 11, 2006, 02:36:04 AM Quote from: Sabrina Peyton on August 10, 2006, 03:46:10 AM Lumines is fun though I miss regular tetris. I'm dying to own a ds light just for Super Mario bros. I want a DS for DS WARS. Man that game is so much fun. Title: Re: Games Post by: Casey Cosker on August 11, 2006, 10:48:30 AM My monitor is just a tad dimmer than it should be, but it prevents me from playing any of the games that I want to play.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Youri Zoutman on August 16, 2006, 09:45:25 AM I've been playing the Dead Rising demo like mad. And Rockstar Table Tennis is way more fun then it should be.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Hall on August 23, 2006, 01:15:33 PM I hate you Youri I hate you and your Zombie game Playing Self. I'm am seriously considereing Buying an Xbox 360 for just this Game. God Damn it all.
Tell me its Cack. Please Tell me its Pants. This is your Revenge for Soap isn't it? Title: Re: Games Post by: Youri Zoutman on August 23, 2006, 04:21:44 PM It's a lot of fun. Haven't played the actual game yet, but i hear about some weird stuff. Like only one save in the entire game.
...There needs to be a SOAP game... Title: Re: Games Post by: Sabrina Peyton on September 06, 2006, 08:06:41 AM I’m now the proud owner of a Nintendo ds lite and New super Mario bros.
The touch screen seems silly but whatever, its lots of fun. And Mario is great, much like the original but updated with a few extras. I’m currently stuck on world 3 level something but I’m enjoying it. Next I will own tetris. Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on September 06, 2006, 08:16:40 AM I may have to get me one of these when in Oz. What colour did you get, white or black? Should I ask? :P
I'd want New Super mario Bros, Mario Kart and possibly that Brain Training game to stop me becoming even more stupid. Title: Re: Games Post by: Sabrina Peyton on September 06, 2006, 08:28:35 AM Um yeah, I went with the black version (like that’s a surprise).
They are fun, I was hoping for some sort of note storage on it as well but no. I’ve not downloaded anything yet but it picks up a wireless signal really well. One annoyance – it makes you click past a health and safety thing every time you turn it on. I’ll be trying to keep my game buying down till we’re back in the US so I can buy the games cheap. Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on September 06, 2006, 08:34:09 AM I will probably get a Wii for Christmas as well (if I've been a good boy).
And I will need to own Guitar Hero 2 for PS2 when that comes out. I have too many consoles. Title: Re: Games Post by: Sabrina Peyton on September 06, 2006, 09:08:19 AM We aren’t doing too bad but Mark likes to remind me that the PSP and the DS are both mine whereas he just owns a PS2.
Mind you he owns more games than I do for the PSP. Title: Re: Games Post by: Youri Zoutman on September 06, 2006, 09:21:23 AM Saint's Row. Loads of fun. GTA still has the upper hand though, mostly due to them having helicopters, planes, bikes and SR only cars.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Nick Carroll on September 08, 2006, 09:56:45 AM Quote from: James Dodsworth on September 06, 2006, 08:34:09 AM I have too many consoles. No such thing. My tally is as follows: Nintendo: 2xN64 1xGameboy 1xGBA 1xGBA Clamshell 1xDS 1xGamecube Sony: 1xFat PS2 1xSkinny PS2 Microsoft: Zip. Bill Gates can kiss my rear. I'm gonna hold off on the PS3 for a while, but I'll be waiting in line for a Wii. Red Steel looks amazing. At the minute I'm cleaning up the streets of the Big Apple in True Crime NYC. Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on September 08, 2006, 11:34:28 AM Nice.
I have: NES SNES N64 Gamecube Colour Gameboy Gameboy Advance Gameboy SP Playstation 2 PSP And I will own a Wii, oh yes. Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Peyton on September 08, 2006, 12:01:12 PM I have a PS2.
Which I rarely use. Title: Re: Games Post by: Russell H on September 10, 2006, 11:44:22 AM I have none of these things, nor any interest in them.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Hall on September 10, 2006, 12:20:25 PM Your a strange strange man Russ. But I still think your awesome.
I want a wii as well and I may get a DS when in Canada. Title: Re: Games Post by: Russell H on September 11, 2006, 05:03:20 AM Nothing strange about it, I'm just not an (electronic) gamer.
Abysmal hand/eye co-ordination, mainly. Plus, those things are expensive. Title: Re: Games Post by: Nick Carroll on February 27, 2007, 04:54:17 PM You can now add a Wii to my list. :-* :-* :-* It's so beautiful.
Plus, my DS is hanging on by one hinge, so I think a DS Lite is on the cards very soon! Games I'm playing most at the minute: DS: Nintendogs Wii: Red Steel and Sports PS2: Gran Turismo 4 and Kingdom Hearts 2. When do I get time to sleep? Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on February 28, 2007, 01:35:13 AM I am also the proud owner of a Wii. It's a thing of beauty but makes my arms ache. I need to get into training.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Peyton on February 28, 2007, 01:43:45 AM Sabrina got me a Capcom Classics for the PSP so I'm reliving 1942/3, Commando and Gunsmoke.
Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on February 28, 2007, 02:02:42 AM Cool. I got the other classic one that has Gauntlet and Mortal Combat on it for PSP.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Peyton on February 28, 2007, 02:52:09 AM Yep got that one.
There's another one with Strider on it. If one comes out with Turrican on it I may be in heaven. Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on February 28, 2007, 03:10:33 AM Strider. Wow, I haven't played that since it was out on the Amiga.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Peyton on February 28, 2007, 03:22:04 AM Well I was playing 1942 and my thoughts were that the screen was too small as I used to play it on a big tv so that I had the ability to see the bullets better to avoid them. The truth is I'm old and not fast enough any more.
Strider, Turrican and Attic Attack are the three games I'd like to get. Title: Re: Games Post by: Sabrina Peyton on February 28, 2007, 07:04:05 AM What in gods name is an Amiga? Is it like an atari?
I'm still smitten with my tetris game for the DS. Though the thing weighs quite a bit and it hurts my wrists after a while. Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Peyton on February 28, 2007, 07:07:05 AM No Amigas were computers unlike Ataris.
But basically all we used them for was playing games. Title: Re: Games Post by: Sabrina Peyton on February 28, 2007, 07:11:36 AM So commedor 64 then?
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Peyton on February 28, 2007, 07:17:14 AM Yep Commodore 64 and Spectrums were the same.
Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on February 28, 2007, 10:35:01 AM Yes, the Commodore Amiga was the same as the Atari ST, but all the cool people had an Amiga (which means I didn't, I got a SNES instead).
Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on February 28, 2007, 10:35:55 AM Sweet god, the Wii has an online store. I am very close to downloading MarioKart 64 for about £7.
I do actually own the original somewhere, this is how bonkers I am. Title: Re: Games Post by: Nick Carroll on February 28, 2007, 02:58:39 PM Already downloaded Mariokart 64 and it is still the best. I've found that my non-official Gamecube controllers don't work though, so no 4-player fun yet like the old days. I hope they release Dune 2: Battle For Arakkis - one of my all-time faves on the Megadrive/Genesis.
I was playing Wii tennis for about two hours last night and I think I've got whiplash. What is your best bowling score? I'm on 258. In real life I can barely get 150. Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on February 28, 2007, 03:53:45 PM I'm not great at bowling, I think my best is about 185.
I have now downloaded MarioKart 64. Ocarina of Time may follow, but I should really play the new one Twilight Princess. Have you got any Miis? We can swap if you want, I'll dig my wii code out. Title: Re: Games Post by: John Davidson on March 01, 2007, 05:04:29 PM Quote from: Sabrina Peyton on February 28, 2007, 07:04:05 AM What in gods name is an Amiga? Is it like an atari? Exactly...only better. Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Hall on March 02, 2007, 04:50:38 AM Yeah it was better. I mean you could play Elite on it.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Nick Carroll on March 02, 2007, 05:28:51 PM I have loads of cool Miis, including Captain Jack Sparrow, Sydney Bristow, Ugly Betty and Michael Jackson!
When I get hooked up to broadband again, I'll send them travelling in your direction. Twilight Princess is stunning, even though it isn't the prettiest game. You must have a go at Warioware - it's the funniest thing you'll ever do in front of your telly! The cabinet under my TV has now reached critical mass - it can hold no more! New list is as follows: Nintendo: 2xN64 1xGameboy 1xGBA 1xGBA Clamshell 1xDS 1xGamecube 1xDS Lite Sony: 1xFat PS2 1xSkinny PS2 Microsoft: 1x360 Does anyone have any ideas about under-telly space management? Also, don't even get me started on the cable jungle at the back! Title: Re: Games Post by: James Dodsworth on June 27, 2007, 02:26:14 AM I live in fear that my TV area will burst into flames at any moment, there are so many cables back there.
My most recent purchase was Pikmin 2, which I forgot to pick up for GC when it came out. Title: Re: Games Post by: Nick Carroll on July 02, 2007, 03:25:41 PM I think I'm going to photograph it being baseball batted. I'm planning to exhibit a series of images showing technological icons being destroyed by sports equipment!
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Hall on July 11, 2007, 11:32:55 AM I'll swing the Bat.
Title: Re: Games Post by: Mark Hall on July 11, 2007, 11:33:37 AM Ohh and you can Have Aoifes old TV to Mangle.
