136  General Category / Books & Comic Books / Anyone read the Buffy/Angel books? on: March 15, 2006, 07:12:48 AM
Comics or Novels really.

I've read two of the spike comics.

The last buffy book (forget the name, it'll come to me) and some other buffy or angel books but I couldn't tell you which.

I'm a huge fan of Terry Brooks, Lynn Flewelling and Sara Douglass.

I enjoyed the Kingdom for Sale books, probably because it was a set amount of books. His others seem to go on and on and on.... Could just be me though.

i've got some of the Sara Douglass books as well.

Off the top of my head....

Marion Zimmer Bradley
Terry Goodkind
Ian Irvine
Maggie Furey

And this is where my brain leaks out my ears and I can't remember 95% of the books I own..

Peyton rented the first three eps the other day and I sat through the first with a book, well trying to read a book.

This has got to be the strangest tv show I've ever seen... it's a musical well, they break out into song and dance so that's a musical right?

I would have never given it a chance, but it's hard to not watch David Tennant.

Now I want the rest of it so I can see what the hell is going on.

Yeah we both had the same idea twice... I blame the paint fumes in the house.

anyways.

Peyton is buying these that I'll read (he buys a bunch of other stuff too but I wouldn't touch it)

Mouse guard - I love, it's so cute!

Nextwave - Warren Ellis makes comic book crack.

Detective comics batman - um, the starman guy is on it which is why I gave it a try. Not hugely a DC person.

I'm suposed to read

Wraithborn but I keep forgetting
Y the Last man
Young Avengers
Runaways (is that even still going... see, I'm behind)

In FractalMatter for March we have in depth interviews with Justin Gray (shortly launching Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters for DC), Frank Cho (of Liberty Meadows fame), and Tim Sale (talking a little bit about his new project with Darwyn Cooke).

We also have features on Mirrormask, Hard Time (described by Entertainment Weekly as Oz meets My So-Called Life) and a report back on the New York Comic Con.

All this plus our usual stack of comic, computer and movie reviews.

We're jampacked so we're sure to have something to interest you.
