I sent out a chain message about this, but my new regular email is Casey.Cosker@gmail.com.  I thought I'd post it here.  Thanks all.

Which movies do you want to see and why?  Here's my list:

300 - This just plain looks amazing.
Coraline - It has Neil Gaiman's stamp of approval, and Henry Selick is a master animator. Besides, Dakota Fanning is involved.
Stardust - Again, it has Gaiman's approval, and every image I've seen so far is masterful.
Beowulf - This is written by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary. I didn't like The Polar Express, but I think that an improved version of that animation style would work for an adult film.
Sin City 2 - I loved the first movie, and all the same players are involved.
Grind House - I love Tarantino, and Rodriguez makes pretty good flicks.
30 Days of Night - The stills I've seen from this movie look like they do the comic justice. I loved the graphic novel. Besides, I keep waiting for Josh Hardett to be in a good movie.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The trailer looks great. This should be a bushel full of fun.
Spider-Man 3 - Do I need to say why?
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End - I've already seen the first half of this movie, so I might as well catch the rest.
Fantastic Four 2 - The teaser trailer looked awesome, so I'll give it a go. I wasn't a huge fan of the first flick, though.
Transformers - explosions + nice cars + giant robots + laser guns = Michael Bay goodness
Zodiac - This looks to be David Fincher's best film since Fight Club.
Sunshine - I love Danny Boyle, and his last sci-fi flick was awesome.
The Number 23 - Joel Schumacher can be a genius when he tries, and I love Jim Carey in dramatic roles.
The Lovely Bones - As long as it's under three hours, I'll check this out.  Peter Jackson has perfected his style over the past five years.
The Bourne Ultimatum - I wasn't a huge fan of Supremacy, but I loved the first movie Tom Stoppard is co-writing this one, so I'll give it a go.
American Gangster - I'm an unashamed Ridley Scott fantatic.  Here he has a great cast.
The Kite Runner - I loved the book, and I like what whats-his-face did with Stranger than Fiction.
Black Snake Moan - Samuel L. Jackson sexually assualting Christina Ricci for two hours can't be a bad movie.
The Kingdom? - There are a lot of Middle East movies lately.  Sadly, I think this looks like it'll go the way of Three Kings.
I am Legend? - Will Smith fighting zombies might be worth checking out.
The Golden Compass? - The books were good, but I don't like how production of this is being handled.  I'll wait for more news.
The Astronaut Farmer?
Charlie Wilson's War?

I don't know what will be good this year.

Er...I was talking about movies like The Fountain and Children of Men.  You know, the really great movies that are released at the end of the year.

It's the time of the year where all those classy movies come out that blatantly want to win Oscars.  And, due to their nature, about half are actually pretty good.

Me, I'm looking forward to The Black Daliah, among others.

What oscar-hopefuls are you looking forward to seeing?

Let me guess.  Christina and I are the only college students here.

It is busy.

Did anybody else see this?  I thought it was viciously amazing.

I don't do myspace, but I think this would be a very good idea for promotion.

My monitor is just a tad dimmer than it should be, but it prevents me from playing any of the games that I want to play.

Howdy.  If you like movies and understand things like grammar and structure and expository prose, you can have a lollipop from me.

I cannot STAND hip-hop or rap.  So why can't I stop listening to Jay Z's "Numb"?
