Robin Hood & Torchwood Love or Hate?
« on: January 10, 2007, 07:54:22 AM »

Robin Hood and Torchwood are over and they were about the only shows I could remember to watch weekly.

Torchwood – had its ups and downs enjoyed Captain Jack but it’s hard not to. I’d hoped they would explain exactly why he seemed more subdued than when he was in Doctor who, maybe next series.

Robin Hood – Yes the costumes were mostly purchased from Next and Primark and the idea of strikes and weapons of mass destruction was a bit silly. I coped well. Much was fun and Marian had a decent outfit when she was go out as the night watchman but why did they have to pull the Marvel Death thing with her… Ooo she’s dead. Next episode Oh, no she’s not.

I’d hoped Robin would get all dark and start you know, killing folks.

Maybe next series – yes, I’ll keep watching.

Torchwood was abit confused about what it was trying to achieve..at its worst it became sub-doctor who with swear words thrown in...wrong choice of stories too, like the sex-alien, its like watching all the bad stuff from the Outer limits and the x-files....
Robin Hood suffered regarding the first ep, everyone had too much designer stubble but I liked the political stuff when it wasn't being overplayed...
