I've heard good things about Deadwood but I generally dislike westerns. Anything in it that might appeal to someone who doesn't generally like the subject matter?

The only current TV show I've gotten into of late is, somewhat guiltily, The OC....

I'm horrible, as I've been to Tombstone AZ....

But Deadwood isn't guys in spurs playing cowboys & indians. The cussing though..... and it's really violent at times.

LOST is probably the only thing I catch every week, except for Battlestar when that comes back on.

I'll occasionally catch Arrested Development, The Offce (American one), and I'm trying to catch up on Veronica Mars.  Shouldn't be too hard because it looks like this will be the last season for it.

Not much on TV at the moment i'm watching.  Getting episodes of Aquarion and Eureka SeveN as they're fansubbed, I usually watch the axis of Simpsons/Scrubs/Futurama repeats if they're on and I'm there.  Actually followed the current series of SG-1 as it aired in the UD, which was fun.  Eagerly awaiting the return of Galactica.

I have been out of the TV loop as of late. What i havwe watched has been great though.

House is the best medical show on Television for the strength of Hugh Laurie's acting. Some of the other actors are a hoot.

24: The new season started stateside and it has been wall to wall excitement and suspension of disbelief.

Arrested Development: Four more episodes to go and I miss it already. It may be the best sitcom ever.

Veronica Mars: It's the only thing I can waitch with my girlfriend. It's really well done, the characters all work and it's going to see where series 2 goes.

The Shield: The new series stateside (no 5) really has been addictive. What is happening is that the show is starting to close up all it's loose plots, yet opening new ones with dire payoffs.

It'd be nice to watch it without the ads. But I can't wait and I refuse to download stuff off the internet these days.  Roll Eyes

My new TV addiction is The 4400. I can't get enough of it. Fantastic writing, excellent production values, great cast - the whole works. I saw season one on DVD recently and didn't even suspect they'd go in the direction they did when it was revealed who took the 4400. Very impressed.

My brother's just gotten the first series I think.  I'll give it a go.

My only quibble is that the DVDs are barebones. No commentaries, no deleted scenes, no DVD-ROM content - nothing. At least the UK got nicer packaging that the US release though....

I recently, umm, 'acquired' season two so I'm watching through that now too and it's just as good. It appears they're having shorter seasons than most genre shows, thirteen instead of twenty-two, and it seems to be working in the show's favour. Less padding than other shows I can think of. *Coughstargatecough* I hope the DVDs for season two have something in the way of extras though....

I'm going thru and catching up on 24 now.  Earlier in the year I rented season 3 and watched all of it, and even though a lot of people think it was a pretty lackluster season, I enjoyed it a lot.  When season 5 started up, I started watching it from the beginning, but only made it to the 4th episode before managing to miss a couple.

Now I've bought season 1, started to watch it, and I'll torrent the other episodes of season 5 to get caught up.  I've heard season 4 is an abomination though, but I'll watch it anyways.
