I'm going to geek out more than usual here.

I thought Ben's feature was quite interesting, Furman's been around for a while now, but he still seems to be able to churn out some great TF stories.

As for Stormbringer, I'm really enjoying it so far. If my memory of the end of the G1 US comics wasn't so hazy, I would swear it's almost a continuation. What with Thunderwing, and the mystery-characters-from-issue-2-that-I-won't-spoil-as-it's-not-out-yet.

I'm really curious to see what the reason for the near destruction of Cybertron is. My brain says "new menace" but my feelings say Unicron....

I've never read a Transformers comic.  I was really into the cartoons as a kid, though, and I'm pretty hyped about the Michael Bay movie coming out.  Mostly because there will be explosions, car chases, giant robots, and laser guns.

Enjoyed the cartoon but never have read a Transformers comic...

Course, I've never read a GI Joe comic either.

I shall wait till the Transformers movie comes out.

I really hope its a new mence and Not Unicron as he feels very over done thanks to his appearance in the Armada and energon series.
Plus Thats getting a bit too epic far to quickly for my liking.
Besides Furman likes to Build to stuff. Personally I'd be happy if old Uni sat out the frist 4 years of stories.(And then some.) We all know hes there and there be no surprise bringing him in without some good Plot. Besides if cybertron is a wasteland what real treat is unicron to the Transformers. They won;t exzactly rally around to protect there homeworld.
I want to just see the Decepticons and Autobots going at it over the next few months. In the ongoing. That right strombirnger may be issue 1 but it says 7 above the Barcode.
Beside if cybertron is a wasteland what real treat is unicron to the Transformers.

For good TF, look no further then Beast Wars (skip Beast Machines) and Galaxy Force.

I'd be happy if they leave Unicron alone for now. Just establish the Transformers and their surroundings.

You're right, I think IDW are using the opportunity to get more #1 issues out there by breaking the story arcs into seperate mini-series.

As you can probably see from my Shockwave review, I rather liked the issue, it might actually be one of my favourite TF comics ever, I like it that much. As an individual issue, it's almost perfect, I think.

Hall, what did you make of it?

The rest of you will have to wait for it's cyclops goodness.  Grin

Ah Rattrap.  Never before has a venal, cowardly, whinging git been such a wonderful and utterly sympathetic character.  A little while ago ITV ran the shockingly poor crim-baiting show RATTRAP which saw carjackers get tormented by an ink squirting/siren-blaring/automatically locking car.  All it was missing was the tiny little cyber-rodent carrying out the actual busts and I would have been in heaven.

I really really Enjoyed Shockwave. The main Reason Being that it was an all new Dinobots vs Shockwave fight.
Nicks art was sweet and while it was a Shockwave Spotlight it also had the Dynobots doing what they are loved for.
Plus it Added that little bit of depth that show Simon is Brewing towards a big Bang. Which is added to with the Nightbeat tale and Hopefully with the Other ones.

Here's hoping the Dinobots are being held by the Machination.

Lots of TF goodness this month.

The interviews are both really interesting, i think.

The Soundwave Spotlight is a good read, yet again it contains links to the other Spotlight issues. I thinkthe momentum Furman is building up is great, let's hope for a great payoff.
